Audit existing assets and creative that were scattered throughout Figma files.

Identify the needs of Marketing Designers vs. Product Designers in order to approach the design system from that angle.

Re-establishing design principles and guidelines

Training and adoption
Extending the use-case to company-wide
Design system maintenance and governance

If you know Design Systems, you know that they are large, iterative and in constant flux. As such, the Design System is still in its infancy as it continues to evolve.
Utility

I did not overlook the importance of organization. By creating component that can be used to organize files, and standardizing the file cover, working files and the Figma environment became easier to navigate. 
Early Impact

The implementation of the design system resulted in a streamlined and harmonized visual language across all marketing creatives. This not only accelerated the design process but also significantly enhanced the brand's visual identity, leading to more impactful and cohesive marketing campaigns.
